Our Historic building houses a multi-dealer antique shop. At 4,000 square feet, there are a wide variety of items to choose from as each dealer puts their own spin and special design on their individual spaces. And we have some of the finest antiques and collectibles in the region at reasonable prices.
Located along the shores of the Susquehanna River at the mouth of Goodyear Lake just south of Cooperstown, New York the building was originally built as a Gristmill in the late 1790s.
The building itself is like walking back in time, especially if you enjoy history. With it’s incredible hand hewn beams, back porch that literally hangs over the Susquehanna River, and all of the incredible antiques inside, you simply can’t go wrong when you stop by for a visit.
Unfortunately, Not Much Exists from the Old Gristmill
However, there are a few objects left to point out.
Right at the entrance to the antique shop you will find an amazing scale built into the floor that was used to weigh the feed and grain. Just down the ramp to the main showroom is a circular piece of wood that possibly drove the wheel, and upstairs there is an old grain conveyor belt made of canvas. Other than there three things, nothing else exists except the building itself.
The gristmill wheel is said to lie beneath the water of the Susquehanna River, but no one is really sure what happened to it.
